RIP Paul Darrow
 

I was sad to see Paul Darrow, who played Avon in the BBC show Blake's 7, died today - he was always a bit of a hero of mine growing up. I absolutely loved that show and he had a great way with acerbic quips as Avon. I met him once - he was in a production of Tom Stoppard's Rough Crossing in Liverpool in the early 90s and I waited by the stage door for his autograph. I only spoke to him briefly but he came across as a lovely chap, very friendly.
