Are SSD drive prices going to decline?
I was browsing Amazon and noticed prices for SSD external hard drives seem to be discounted. For example, a Sony 1TB external SSD drive is $170, when the usual price is $250. I was wondering does this mean prices for SSD drives are now going to continue to get cheaper (finally) or is this just temporary fluxation. I have been waiting for these prices to come way down because that is what happens with most newer technology, as time passes and it becomes standard and commonplace. But it seems to take a long time with SSD for some reason.

According to this article you should buy now. I was planning on picking up a couple ssd’s And some ram for an upcoming build. Haven’t decided between ryzen 3000 or i9 9900k.

Yea, you are probably right. I found one even cheaper that is only $117 right now for 1TB of storage so I think I'm gonna grab it.

From my experience, if you see a deal like that, you should take it. Even though the prices might decline with time, you will most likely be waiting for an SSD with even more space at that time to get discounted and not get an upgrade which would make your computer use more enjoyable.

Buy what you need today but not what you think you will need tomorrow.
