My list (don't care if counted or not):
1) XCOM2 War of the Chosen 2) XCOM Enemy Within 3) The Witcher 3 4) Mass Effect 2 (represents the entire series, but I have to pick 1…) 5) Fallout NV 6) Divinity OS 2 7) Pillars of Eternity 2 8) Dragon Age Inquisition 9) Wasteland 2 Director's Cut 10) Fallout 4 |
My ten selections in order of my fun
so the first one is 10 points the seconde one 9 p etc or everyone is just one point count as you want Pathfinder: Kingmaker Alpha Protocol South Park: The Stick of Truth Age of Decadenc Fallout: New Vegas Lords of Xulima King's Bounty: Crossworlds The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Elex Might & Magic X: Legacy I would also like to make the not very risky forecast that witcher 3 will win the GoD prize which it probably deserves sent as a pm as well |
I would also like to extend my thanks to lackblogger I donīt know how you will weight all the different lists but I have seen some of the statistics you have published so I have faith in your superpower
|
For better or worse, the word Skyrim is used on this site almost as much as the word "the". :D

Btw, if you haven't played the Skyrim TC Enderal yet, you should do so asap. |
Thanks Lackblogger!
I enjoyed vanilla Skyrim. It will definitely make my list somewhere high up. I haven't finalised the list, but I'm thinking legend of grimrock 2, lords of xulima, dark souls, mass effect 2, Tyranny, Divinity original sin 1, maybe age of decadence. On reflection I'm surprised by the low number of isometric games in my initial list. I'm only on chapter one of Pathfinder so can't include that; the pillars games I enjoyed but didn't love in the way I expected to. Anyway, why had no-one mentioned Grimoire yet? |

Still, I'd be more comfortable with Skyrim if the base game would have been better, rather than just reaping the glory of all those modders' hard work. I mean, I'd totally support to list Skyrim as Toolset of the Decade (or something like that), along with Mount&Blade Warband, and others. |
Here's my list. I think I have not played so many games you all have though.
So they'll be in next decade's list for me :D Banner Saga series Age of Decadence Underrail Shadowrun HK Battle Brothers BattleTech XCOM 2 + WOTC + Mods Crusader Kings II Dishonored Dungeon Rats ELEX |
Just spent 3 months playing one game only, non stop. Kenshi.
THIS is the game of the decade, and by far. |
I just voted for my top 3 (in order of preference):
1. Witcher 3 2. Pillars Of Eternity 3. Skyrim |

Obviously Skyrim will make the list somewhere, but count me as another that will be disappointed if it wins. But what do I know, I see people voting for Greedfall and The Outer Worlds. Don't get me wrong, I liked both games a lot, but game of the decade? Ahh, no. When Witcher 3 wins all will be right with the world ;) |

1) Fallout 4
2) Enderal 3) Skyrim 4) Fallout Vegas 5) Elex 6) Dishonored 7) Deus Ex -HR 8) Witcher 3 9) Lords Of Xulima The first 5 on this list might make my top 10 RPGs of all time. Additionally, I have well over 200 hours in each of the top 5 games. The lower 4 will easily be beaten out by oldies Gothic 2/3, Might and Magic 6/7 and Morrowwind. |
Wow the gaming community is weird. Ya'll can tilt at windmills with the best. :D
Thinking about the very easy and straightforward question asked, I'd probably say: 1) Pathfinder: Kingmaker 2) Age of Decadence 3) Pillars of Eternity 4) Disco Elysium 5) Underrail |

Ranked in order of best to worst:
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY > The Witcher 2 -> I like story-driven and great characters so an obvious choice Alpha Protocol -> refreshing Mass Effect 2 > Mass Effect Andromeda > Mass Effect 3 -> great universe Shadowrun: Dragonfall -> I want more of this Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Deus Ex: Human Revolution -> and this. Nothing better than infiltrating and exploring various corporate buildings Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition -> because it is Belgium Dragon’s Dogma -> sorry, this is my dark souls-like entry :-) Dragon Age - Inquisition -> not sure if this should be here. Fallout: New Vegas -> renewed my interest in gaming Dragon Age: Origins: Awakenings (2010) -> last because I can't remember much of it --- arbitrarily cut (the following didn't make the list, but still in order) --- Wasteland 2 Director's Cut -> unremarkable (but fun) Divinity - Original Sin Enhanced Edition -> good, but can't remember much of it Dishonored, Dishonored 2, Prey -> not RPG enough The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -> walking simulator :-) Pillars of Eternity -> drags on too much (heard PoE 2 is way better) Assassin's Creed: Origins -> liked the setting, but that's all (and no RPG) |
My list with no particular order: Turn it up to 11!
1. Skyrim 2. Divinity: Original Sin 3. Divinity: Original Sin 2 4. Pathfinder: Kingmaker 5. The Witcher 3 6. Fallout: New Vegas 7. Mount & Blade Warband 8. Shadowrun Returns 9. XCOM - Enemy Unknown 10. Dark Souls 3 11. Dark Souls 1 |
Any way we want?? Let's see, pi votes for Skyrim, the square root of negative pi votes for South Park: Stick of Truth, and the largest prime number votes for Witcher 3!
Nah - I was a good boy and just voted for Witcher 3. Quote:
