That's definitely one of the main issues for me. I don't find the lore very interesting. In fact, I think it's kind of generic.

I even found parts of DA:O to be a slog. I enjoyed the combat in that game, but I wasn't hooked by that world or the story. I also really disliked how I had to repeatedly initiate conversations with all the companions and give them gifts just to be able to unlock their best combat stats.
