Um, am I being a bit slow (a definite possibility), or does RPG *Watch* not give one the option to *watch* forum threads and be e-mail notified of replies, other then when submitting a reply/post?

Yes, it's in your USER CP. Check under the FORUMS tab drop down menu!!

On the upper right side there is a drop-arrow called 'Thread Tools'. At the bottom of that there is 'Subscribe to this thread'. Does exacly what you want.
