Call me a hopeless optimist, but I can see this being a good thing. DLC demand will be way more dependant on the basic experience being enjoyable, if this adds significantly to the additional profit potential from higher game quality then it could be quite a bonus.

You have got a point with the 18%… but hell, 7$, it's also the same price than a trio at MacDonalds you will eat in less than 5 minutes. It's less than a movie ticket. I don't know what you refer to with the «radio it tells you to go back to the dealership and upgrade». I havent seen anything annoying concerning that. Sure, they make you aware that such DLC exist, just as you car seller would, but if you say no, so be it.

DA is a great game they have been working on for years. If they can raise the profit they make with the game (and EA sure needs it with the loss they recently announced!) with people who want to enhance the already great experience, fair enough!

I would agree with you and Gothic about that if DA as it is wasnt a full game. But it's far from being the case.

You're comparing apples to oranges. You could also say that you can pay a hooker $200 for 30 minutes of entertainment so $7 for 2 hours is very cheap.

But I don't want the car seller in my game that I already bought. He's not sitting in the car I already bought is he? And if I say no in the game, why is he still there in my camp with an exclamation point over his head?

But if it wasn't there (in game), you probably wouldn't mind as much as those who don't like it mind that it IS there.
