I'd argue Arcanum is the absolute zenith of an RTWP failure. If they'd made it turn-based and the combat wasn't awful, it would be an undisputed (haha, not undisputed of course) classic.

Machine learning has definitely been around long enough for SOMEONE to do it in an RPG, and when it does happen I very much doubt it will be Bethesda or Obsidian making that leap.

Tried this when it came out. Pretty decent game…

Tried this when it came out. Pretty decent game for casual play, can sit on the couch with the controller and kill an hour or two. Music and graphics are very well done.
