I don't think it's connected as the setting is colonial. One example is before the America Revolution with muskets and swords. Hopefully combat is better then the Risen games.

Well as I always said before just wait for the GOTY version with all the expansions a year or more after it's release. Seems to be the trend with Obsidian, Larian , and InXile.

No problem it still requires some management as you can help supply them to build, but it beats having to spend hundreds of hours building settlements yourself.

I'll wait for the full release hopefully in a few years from now. Also hoping it's at least an above average Fallout clone as most are just plain duds. Especially the Russian ones.
