There is no pratical way for that to happen without everyone else getting infected. And combined with collapse of intensive care you can maybe get 3-6x fatalities, across a much wider age group….

Keep in mind that many people with proper intensive care can survive the infection. I dont know what capacity the US got, but I suspect is part of the reason Germany have managed to keep deaths low.
