Well, to me real-time raytracing is a gimmick too. (And not a cheap one.) Though thankfully it doesn't affect gameplay much since it's tied to the GPU and not the CPU.

I'm still disappointed space combat isn't going to be just like Homeworld. I.e. hit spacebar and point-and-click destination or target. Star Wolves and Nexus TJI were similar IIRC.
