I played the first one for longer than I had any reason. Got WQ2 on release day and have played for half a day already. It is content/feature complete, has a story-line and is a bit less grindy….

Sorry, didn't have time to read the whole thread, but was there any talk about amount of combat? So, will all the previous combat only be in turn-based or did they adjust that for less filler battles?

Also enjoyed the first one quite a bit, but it becomes tedious after a while. Also iirc, enemies were hitting your party members randomly, so no use to put magic users in the back.

I won the game in the Winter giveaway and I can say it is very solid JRPG turn-based combat. Synergies and everything. If that is your thing, this is a a good bet.

Exactly what I thought! Solid but all in all not engaging enough. If you hurt for turn-based space battles this will scratch the itch… for a while at least.

This is a wider definition of the term "RPG." I love Battletech/RogueTech to bits, but wouldn't consider it a RPG. Since most RPG players also prefer true turn-based it is ok, I guess! :p
