Bummer it does indeed sound like the game was a huge flop. If I can be honest I'm not surprised as the developer changed the name, and style to be something different.

Still going strong looks like the player numbers increased after the huge 7.1 update. The content update Legacy of the Sith expansion was a huge disappointment though.

Remember playing Omikron back when Daikatana was released in 2000. Both flopped and became cult classic over the last fifteen years though. Anyway it's been a while.

It's implied he doesn't like the aesthetics of the improved graphic models. They didn't bother me as there is only so much you can do with an old engine, and it's asserts.
