FINALLY an official response to traps, specifically the acid hallway:

I've only read the first 3 pages of this thread, but in case it hasn't already been said, this is NOT working as intended.

As many of you have said in the first 3 pages, the traps are not in line with the rest of the dungeon. This is a bug and is getting attention here at Turbine.
Happiness consists in realizing it is all a great strange dream.
