Hello,

My name is James Sablatura and I'm the developer of a new Indie RPG called AAIMIE.

AAIMIE has been described as Tron Meets Grimrock. It shares many elements with traditional rpg's such as Might & Magic, Elder Scrolls and Arx Fatalis, however, instead of exploring dark, spiderweb filled corriders you will discover a bright, colorful and vibrant world.

AAIMIE, short for 'Autonomous Artificially Intelligent Mechanized Industrial Engineer', is a first person point of view dungeon crawler. You play as AAIMIE, a repair bot in a power facility on a distant planet. One day after a brief power outage, her memory banks were filled with new found knowledge of power facility, its secrets, its inhabitants and most importantly an uncontrollable urge to destroy the very facility she has spent her life repairing.

There is of course combat in AAIMIE, but the focus is on exploration, puzzle-solving, scripted events and a strong story.

The storyline is complete and the prototype is finished. I would love it if you would check out the website and see what it has to offer. I get a nice "Day of the viper" vibe from this game, but i certainly need more info about the underlying system and rpg ideas before i back.

Day of the Viper is a nice association. As for more info, it's going to be a solo game, and won't be party-based. I chose to do this because I really want to focus on exploration and story telling and wanted to really give the player that sense of isolation, that they are going at this alone.

You will level up, in the traditional sense, by earning experience in combat, puzzle solving and exploration. You will start out with base stats and by adding AI routines you will upgrade these stats once you gain the needed xp. You will gain weapons, armor and components (such as seeing through walls) throughout the game which you can swap out at will.

Thanks for your replies. Are you planning some updates for your kickstarter? Got some new graphics to show or ideas to discuss?

You seriously need more updates on your Kickstarter. I also don't remember your PR. ;)
