We all know it's out but here's the official press release for the release of DX:HR in North America. Other regions have to wait a few days, as is often the case. One new thing is the retail version includes a free OnLive copy, theoretically allowing you to play it anywhere:

Some Gamestop outlets appear to diasgree as to what the consumer is entitled to regardless of what the publisher says.

Whether or not a particular Gamestop actually does this appears to vary - perhaps this decision was made by a cranky regional manager and not higher than that. Still - my local Gamestop was doing it and I wlil not be purchasing from them ever again. Make sure your copy is sealed before purchasing it.

From the Gamestop Facebook page:

Regarding the Deus Ex OnLive Codes: GameStop’s policy is that we do not promote competitive services without a formal partnership.
Square Enix packed a competitor’s coupon within the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution without our prior knowledge and we did pull these coupons.
While the new products may be opened, we fully guarantee the condition of the discs to be new. If you find this to not be the case, please contact the store where the game was purchased and they will further assist.

So this was a directive from corporate to all stores. Some just ignored it on principle, missed it, or failed to comply for whatever reason. I'm hoping some felt bad about doing this without informing the customers so chose not to do it.

This is the press release for the launch in North America (and South?). So since those launch dates are offset by a few days maybe - "The Revolution Spreads to XXXX"
