The "I Just Bought" thread

I just bought a copy of 'Viva Pinata' for 3 €. Suits my sweet, charming personality perfectly.

Nice ! :) Maybe we can exchange tips ?

Because I had begun the game a few months ago, too.

Well, I'm SLOWLY starting to get the hang of it. Although I like to keep it simple so far… I'm quite content with planting apple trees and breeding whirlms :). Though I also like to hit snails with the shovel (I'd never do something as nasty IRL, however).

That's one game I wanted to have since the 360 came out. Now that I have a machine suited to gaming again I just couldn't resist when I saw the game in the bargain bin… we might very well exchange some tips once I'll discover how the game works :p.

When I lived with my cohabit I couldn't have friends over. Now when she's gone I have started to invite friends more frequently. But I didn't have any chairs. I just bought four new ones so we can sit together and play together, as well as an extra controller for the PS3 (now I have four).

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Limited Edition

513U%2BWf54OL.jpg

:smitten:

AFAIK it contains both Dreamfall and The Longest Journey on DVD, music CD(s?) with the soundtracks and a handful of songs from Magnet, and a hardback art book. All for about £12 or €13.62 or $19.82 plus a bit of shipping. I'm still waiting for it… and I'm already … again … dreaming of Stark and Arcadia.

I just bought a fairly complete set of 1/2", 3/8", and 1/4" rachets and sockets, both metric and standard. They were desperately needed around the house.

Uh ... Where do one get this thing ? O_O

Edit : Ah, I see Amazon UK ... Okay, I'll keep this in mind ...

Ahru-looks nice. can't wait for another game in the series. was just thinking the other day that if any "old series" was deserving of a replay it would be that/them.

Jaz-the art style looks intriguing, i don't suppose they have a subtitled version?

@curious: I doubt it :/. It's a French movie made for TV, it was shown once or twice here in Germany back in the 70s with big success mainly among us teens, and though many folks wanted to see it published on video/DVD over the course of the last ten or fifteen years, nobody knew where the publication rights had gone. So it's become some kind of internet phenomenon. Perhaps, should it sell well enough… but as I said, I doubt it.
There's a 10-minute version on Youtube:

I hated this move instantly since I read its description in a TV program magazine. And I still hate it today.

It's just too gruesome for my taste.

I have once written a story that goes a tiny bit into that direction as well - but I made it a story of healing, not of ... horror.

By the way, about horror : I bought today the "Codex Monstrorum", a Myranor sourcebook describing TDE animals of the continent called Myranor (Aventurian name : "Güldenland").

It is written like a big game hunter's diary, sort of. ;9 It'll be fun to read, I assume ! :)

What I also bought was the Star Wars D6 RPG sourcebook called "The Jedi Academy Sourcebook". Not easy to find and I got both with a discount ! :)

@JDR13: Now that's great :). Have a nice weekend on the sofa!

I just bought these two:
Hasbro figure No. 1
Hasbro figure No. 2.
One's for sonny, one's for me… but you'll never guess which one's mine ;).

Damn, that's fantastic. Where did you find those?… lemme guess, was it perhaps… EBAY?

Same seller is on Ebay as well. :)

I watched the first episode yesterday. It's funny how different it is than how I remember it, but I hadn't seen it in over 20 years. Still entertaining though.

The visual quality is good considering the age of the material. It's possible to get the series cheaper, but I wouldn't trust just anyone. I've seen it for as cheap as $9.99 for 2 DVDs, but the quality would have to be pretty low to fit the entire series on 2 discs.

*Edit* Here's a direct link to Gozillaflix if anyone's interested. They have tons of old tv series for purchase.
