Yes, an announcement for an announcement but I know a lot of readers are watching Torchlight II. From their latest Friday update:
Happy Friday! We'll get right to it - we have some news for you:

We will announce our release date on Friday, August 31st.

August 31 kicks off of our favorite con, PAX Prime, and we'll be there to show Torchlight II and tell everyone the official Torchlight II launch date!

At some point there was some news that the game will be launched by the end of summer. Now it seems that by the end of summer we'll just get the announcement for the game release.

What's next? Game released by X-Mas or Q1 2013? Wouldn't surprise me at this rate...

"Summer" lasts til late September.

I am betting a release around the 21st.

yeah from reading official forum posts, it seems they are still aiming for "summer".

Geez, let them polish.. I don't care if its NEXT summer as long as they learn from some of d3's mistakes.,.. Besides, aren't you all still playing d3 still?? lol..
