Gamedec is a cyberpunk RPG that adapts to the choices you make and has no combat. It looked definitely interesting enough to visit the developers at Gamescom, which I did and as a result I wrote some words about what I learned.

I was presented part of the demo of Gamedec, named an adaptive isometric cyberpunk RPG, by its developers. Gamedec is a game based on a series of books made by Marcin Przybylek, where in a cyberpunk dystopian world a lot of people play virtual games and who are actually living those games. It all takes place in a post-transhumanist world, where the question whether AI is sentient is no longer being asked. AI is inside robot bodies in the real world and people are living most of their time in a virtual world, both of which are considered to be normal. To make sure the game stays close to the vision of Marcin, he is part of the team and works almost full time on the game by writing dialogs and advising on the lore.
More information.

Nicely done, a very informative and focused piece that tells a lot about the game instead of what their favourite colour is.

I'm curious why they want to market it as an RPG though. After reading everything you found out, it sounds like a classic Adventure Game to me...? Only your PC can maybe specialise on a specific detecting skill? Or aspect? Or whatever? And your PC can navigate the dialogues similar to a Choose Your Own Adventure?

Any concept that is trying to move away from stale been there done that cloning I'm always inclined to try.
The thing is I need gamedec developers to promise me no multiplayer and it's instabuy for me. If there is any not_solo option in an indie RPG, sorry, but that means rubbishAI and I don't want to support it.

Hi guys, I'm in the middle of writing a long and, I hope, complete FAQ for Gamedec. Will share it with you later this week.

Great. That leaves us only the infrequently asked questions to ask you :)

Looks interesting. Not sure if the lack of combat will make it better or worse - i guess it depends on the overall quality of the rest of the game which I can't really judge from the presented material. Hum. Looks interesting.

I hope they get this right because this game looks fascinating. Also the stereo typical future music in the clip just about always works for me. . . . I'm easy that way.

Sorry for post after post, but Turtle Beach made an interview with our Executive Producer, Łukasz Hacura. It surely clears up some topics and explains where the idea to create a Gamedec video game came from.

@TrueMatt;
I edited your post so that the youtube video would be visible; yours does not load.
To see the difference between yours and mine just quote yourself.
Also, please take a look at this post to avoid problems like that in the future.
Thanks.

Thank you, I clicked "preview" before posting and it looked fine :( I watched how other people do and I thought I did it good. Will remember for the future, thank you for letting me know.
