This is on GOG now and getting rave user reviews. Is this just the usual GOG hype or was I - gasp - not properly informed by the Watchers? :juggle:

People hanging on GoG are very easily amused, almost anything gets good score there so I don't consider them viable information source.
Imo game starts very strong but gets dull as time goes on, some other people on watch seem to share than opinion as far as I noticed.Reviews everywhere are good so it might be worth checking out for yourself, but I would suggest to wait for price to drop.

Found it to be a fun little game for the first half or so but it becomes very repetative and easy after that.
I was using the exact same "tactic" on 90% of the fights and was usually fighting the same types of enemies over and over.
With 4 powers per character tactical options are rather limited and boss fights never got more involved then knowing when to move in or out of something.
It is basically a hack and slash with some tactics thrown in where single mob pack takes about 5 minutes (never actually timed it but feels like ages).
The story is utterly uninspired and at no point did i care about it or the characters i was playing.
Still there are not alot of options in this genre atm so if you are hankering for some top down isometric rtwp action it is worth picking up.

In this age of information, I began to think sites which have larger denominator matter. When I plan to buy something, I compare negative and positive user reviews at Amazon and, buy the products when I'm convinced. Likewise, I thought core RP gamers may matter in supporting projects but, as it turns out, who actually seem to matter in most cases are those who can gather people through major social networks. Actually, the trick was rather simple: More people mean more chance of finding similar tastes. Especially when talking of RPGs, taste differs and even "hardcore RP gamers" mean many things. It's much more efficient to go major sites and find opinions which actually matter to you.

Each skill tree is divided into two different paths where one branch usually keeps the original skill more or less intact and the other one changes it more drastically.
For example your heal can either get more powerful and eventually turn into an aoe heal or be used on enemies as a debuff.
Most skill trees tend follows the same formulae: More power, less cost, lower cooldown and/or less cast time with the last two skills being a choice between two significant buffs.
You can only pick 1 specialisation but can respec out of combat when ever you want.

For Gog user reviews there's a trick. First skip or read very quickly the first two reviews. Then jump to last reviews, there's generally some bots spam but don't give up move up until the first review from last to first, and there you'll have other opinions, and almost never haters/trolls that don't bother publish here. So you get what could be wrong in the game.

EDIT: So I applied the procedure to Aarklash Legacy, first point not enough reviews, so no negative one, but one with arguments well, and he even mentions "the game seems alright". Wooo I really believed the game was a crap with boring repetitive fights, I'll have to reconsider.

EDIT2: The real procedure I apply is now I only read the last reviews on Gog. :)
