Pricewatch!

I've never had a problem with any purchase from GamersGate. I get annoyed at how slow their site has been lately though.

I second that. I use them a lot, because of the lack of third-party software, and not a single problem so far.

I've also not had any really bad experiences with them. I got a broken game once (which was not their fault, if a game does not work, then it is the people who made it who are responsible for it), and they gave me a complete refund. The only bad thing I can say about them is that they have a slow (undermanned) support.

By the way, Earth 2160 is free on Greenman gaming for the next 23h:

GG has been the most flakey for me (and terrible and slow customer support). Steam has been pretty reliable. GoG hit and miss. Direct2Drive / Gamefly has by far been the most reliable.

Darksiders II is the same price on GamersGate, and if you have the IGN Prime 15% discount it stacks. You can also use the coupon code "G2PO" for another 5% off. It's steam keys everywhere, so may as well get it on GG .

Groupees build a bundle 4 is out:
http://groupees.com/bab4
This one contains:
Stellar Impact (steam)
Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood (Steam)
Qasir Al-Wasat: A Night in-between (Desura)
Vitrum (Desura+Drm Free)
Men of War (Steam)
Fantasy Wars (Steam)
Zombies (Desura)
Velvet Assassin (Steam)
Orczz (Desura)

I've previously played Men of War, Fantasy Wars & Velvet Assassin, and they were all quite good. Fantasy wars is a tough as nails panzer-general style game set in a fantasy setting. Highly recommended. Men of War is an interesting RTT set in WW2, where you can take direct control over individual soldiers, or control them like a regular RTT (you can switch control mode on the fly). This one is also very hard. And finally we have Velvet Assassin, which is a 3rd person stealth game that (according to me) got unfairly poor review scores. It is (again) a rather challenging game, and it has some odd design choices, but overall I found it to be a highly enjoyable game.

Qasir Al-Wasat: A night in-between looks interesting, though I have not played it yet.
How does this Build a Bundle thing work?

Thirded! Not a single problem with over 20 games purchased and installed.

This post from me will be somewhat different than others I made in this thread.

Steam's midweek madness includes so called Steam starter pack (9.19€) for F2P game Star Trek Online:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/9900

The pack includes:
One XP Boost that will provide a single character with a 20 percent increase in the amount of Skill Points earned up to a maximum of 1,000 Skill Points.
Steam Powered Title
Mk II Phaser Assault Minigun [CrtH][Dmg]
Mk II Personal Shield [Cap]
Mk II Energy Dampening Armor [RegHP]
Mk II Quantum Torpedo Launcher [Acc][Dmg]
Mk II Resilient Shield Array [Cap]
Trill Male Engineering Bridge Officer Candidate (Uncommon Quality) equipped with a Mk II Phaser Blast Assault [Dmg], Mk II Personal Shield [Cap] and Mk II Energy Dampening Armor [Dis]
Vulcan Female Science Bridge Officer Candidate (Uncommon Quality) equipped with a Mk II Phaser Assault Split Beam [CrtH], Mk II Personal Shield [Cap] and Mk II Energy Dampening Armor [Dis]
Blockade Runner Escort: Steamrunner Class
Blockade Runner Escort Retrofit: Steamrunner Class

I'm writing this as a warning. By purchasing this pack, you get something you don't need at all anywhere in the game or in other words you get something that should probably be free.

1. "Uncommon" stuff is not uncommon in the game at all, not to mention that those bridge officers do not possess any space traits needed in space fights so you'll ditch them!
2. You can get equally good ships in the game for free
3. XP boost is not needed as you can reach XP cap in two weeks without any boosts by just following the story missions or even faster if you grind patrols!
4. MK2 stuff? You'll use it for a day and ditch it for cheap MK3, 4, 5… Cheap, yes, and free.
5. Special title? You'll earn thousands of titles in the game and trust me on this - not a single player cares for those at all

I know this thread should be about great bargains, but hey, it also can be used to point out an obvious effrontery.
That starter pack is a rip-off. Please, do not, and I mean this, DO NOT buy it.

Strange! I never had any problem besides the slow connection with GG. (I have 25 games + a bunch of DLCs so far on there)... and the ones I've had trouble with are/were Direct2Drive. Didn't buy anything since Gamefly took over, but bought 3 games there and had trouble with 2 of the product keys/activation in the past.

I just shop around for the best deal between Steam, GMG and GG usually. Though I'll get things on GoG if at all possible normally.

Meh, it could be that they are all flaky to some extent. I tend to buy games on sales years after they were originally released so that may explain the different experiences. Sometimes older games are not as well supported as newer ones.

I'd say you've been VERY lucky.

Then at ~100 games ranging from very old to very new I have been EXTREMELY lucky ... never a problem and I have been with them since they started serving the US.

But as noted - you are NOT alone. Same with Steam and everywhere else. For some people for various reasons certain sites just suck.

Hmmm, really? I find that hard to believe, but whatever…

Ooh ... just checked and remembered: Beyond Divinity was an unusable disaster on GG when released, I never heard back directly from customer service but they re-issued the game about a week later ...

Most of my GG games are pretty recent. My old games are on GoG and Steam.

With the exception of GOG, a game not working on your computer can't be blamed on the digital distributions site in question, but rather on the publishers/developers. The digital distribution sites just put the games up for sale, probably after a quick check to make sure that they got the right files (by installing & starting the game, I would guess)

And I have, as I said above, had issues with a grand total of 1 game from them, and they refunded me. And I have enough games on GG for it to be a major inconvenience to count them :p

I have had 2 activation problems with GG. None of which had anything to do with my platform. They were basically distributing a download that wouldn't work with their activation codes. Even after multiple complaints from multiple individuals on their "forums" they haven't fixed it. There's no excuse for that that I am aware of….

They've been a huge waste of my time. This is one reason I prefer a hard copy.
