Update 2.0.320 for Dungeons of Chaos has been released:

2.0.320 UPDATE is here!

v.320 brings with it:

  • 2 items for the weapon slot than enhance UNARMED attacks, fairly inexpensive and dropping as regular loot from the start occasionally
  • a trader in Tartessos specialising in those
  • added over a dozen class specific single-player arena challenges in Tartessos
  • added 5 new unlockable birth feats as reward for those arena challenges
  • fixed an issue with dead players showing up in arena challenges
  • fixed an issue where non-allowed spells would still deduct mana and cost time
If you like the updates and the game please leave a review and spread the word!

Thanks,
Volker

I like it so far.

The only point of critique would be, that combat is a bit slow and you don't have that many tactical options at low levels.

I've got about twelve hours in this so far and loving it. This might be my game of the year, if you enjoyed the gold box games and Knights Chalice, you might want to give this one a try.

Knights of the Chalice is one of my favorite games of all time. DoC looks very similar and that is a good thing.

The overviewing menu looks weird as hell in my opinion, but that is something you only see like once or twice a play session. Who even knows, to someone else it might not look odd at all, but to me it does. And THAT is the only weird, bad or kooky thing I've seen in this game.

Yes it looks interesting. Does this game consist of mostly procedurally generated content or is it custom built? It's not clear from the Steam page.

Much of it is laid out in a clear, custom fashion. There are quests you acquire throughout the game that lead you to other areas. Most of the rewards seem to be random, but certain spots and particular quests give specific rewards. Later in the game you will find areas that create random dungeons for you to explore as well.

Well, KotC was turn-based, much deeper tactically, strictly followed D20 rules and had a nice story attached, so results may vary.
I loved KotC and didn't like this game at all. Played for about 20 minutes, including character creation.

Had a similar feeling at first, but once you advance a few hours it becomes much more tactical and you have more options. Stronger enemies have interesting quirks. The game also offers a nice challange on normal.

I can't recommend this at all. I loaded it on my J drive of my Windows 8.1 PC. It wouldn't even run.

I can recommend this as your phone RPG fix. Wouldn't spend my PC time on it though, the competition is way too large. DOS2 currently, and then probably on to Elex...
