1889 huh?

Well now we see exactly why I scored "definitely not goth." ;)

That's cool, Jabs. I doubt too many Goths are sitting up nights reading Victorian novels. :)

*sings Tiger battle anthem*

"O' the Tigers fought brave and fierce that day
they fought all through the night
by tooth and claw and Tiger sword
they would not lose this fight"

"And when the light of morning came,
as everyone knew it would
tho battered and bloodied and really sore
alone the Tigers stood."

*hums melody*

Sammy you just reminded me of this story. It's not a song but it could be.
The Cat Who Walks By Himself

...when the moon gets up and night comes, he is the Cat that walks by himself, and all places are alike to him. Then he goes out to the Wet Wild Woods or up the Wet Wild Trees or on the Wet Wild Roofs, waving his wild tail and walking by his wild lone.

I guess its pretty wet and wild wherever he goes. :)

OOps--missed the htt in http--better now thnx Sammy

I'm listening to my favourite female fronted (gothic) metal band: Epica.

That site about goth stereotypes is quite funny. I'm trying to reflect which one(s) would best describe me. I believe I'm a combination of two or three of those :|

Sammy will be all over that, Zakhary.

I've picked up the mother of all colds from Mrs dte, so I'm focussed on soft and smooth today. Actually had a hard time finding anything to link for this group.

Good song. Is this after her and Nightwish split the sheets? If this is off a solo album I may have to get it.

Yes, I Walk Alone is from her solo album. I have to admit though, that neither the "new" Nightwish with the new lead singer, nor Tarja's solo effort managed to grab me. While I found every single song on the previous Nightwish albums fantastic, the new songs are all just "ok" but otherwise too uninsteresting, with the exception of Amaranth (Nightwish) and I Walk Alone (Tarja). Too bad, really...

I know I've done this group several times, but it's what's been in my head for the past day.

Just got turned on to 'Reverend and the Makers' and their album 'The State of Things'. Awesome stuff.

I haven't been this enthusiastic about British stuff since "The Stone Roses'.

Cool new trio stuff from Pat Metheny - Day Trip. He is coming to the Boston area ... right as I'm in the midst of moving away ... oh well, try to catch him next time. He is always a great show regardless of the band.

"...and you party, laying bear." Priceless. But what did you expect? It's the one and only Daler Mehndi...
