wow i never saw that as a kid. i can't imagine a kid sitting through that for 10 minutes though. the only games i ever pirated were the commander keen and similar type games and such way back when though i did own the bard's tales and ultimas i played. i also remember back in the mid-late 80's they had a video store mr. video- where you could rent computer games. its a shame that that trend never continued into the pentium+ days.

@corwin-going soft... and giving up the razor eh?

Real men don't give much about Star Trek anyway. They watch Knightrider and Baywatch.
I see, we understand each other:biggrin:. I wonder what roqua would have to say about this?

They could leave the anti-piracy flicks off bought DVDs, but why not hardcode the stuff into DVD writers so the message would appear on a copied DVD?

If you ask me, they lost the war against piracy 30-40 years ago.

I had no opinion on Wesley, didn't like him, didn't hate him.

Even though Wesley Crusher was nearest to my own age, I ended up having a big crush on both Captain Picard and on Data... no idea what that says about me as a teenager though :D

apparently some people live in a deeper cave than bin laden if they think that a)nudity in a movie makes it a porn movie (would include nearly 50% of all r-rated movies not to mention every other european movie. b) modeling in the nude makes someone a pornstar. c) most people are far sexier with there close on, especially men, seinfeld anyone?

Well, while it is hard to understand from a male perspective it becomes clear if you begin to analyze the symbolic meaning of the named persons. No doubt your own psyche played tricks on you here. Picard, due to his bold, somewhat overproportioned head and his slim boday must have reminded you of a phallus. Data on the other hand, due to his technical nature, must have reminded you of other technical things that vibrate, and have no feelings... *wink*

heh just gotta love the 80's stuff. don't copy that floppy!

Speaking of star trek I was never much of a fan until I saw the reruns of orginal series few years ago. William shatner is a funny man. I don't know if they ever meant the series to be humorous, but I felt like actors themselves didn't take their roles too seriously nor did writers. The series sorta knew how to laugh itself unlike those sequels. They are so deadly serious all the time..

? Did I miss the part connected with Wil Wheaton or having to watch 'don't pirate this DVD' warnings ?

Ah, that explains that then... it all makes perfect sense now

that floppy thing was hilarious!
..and Marina Sirtis was never in the porn industry. Just being within a country mile of Ron Jeremy will destroy one's mainstream career.

Sexier with clothes on? I'd like to judge that one for myself!

There's a render idea for ya, Sorcha.

please??.. ='.'=

I was talking about TNG series. Marina Sirtis did some...err....artistic films in her earlier career. Not sure how many.

As I understood it is was low-brow teenage stuff like Blind Date - "Where else can you see Kirstie Alley and Marina Sirtis topless in the same film, plus a young Valeria Golino posing in a bikini?"

@txa1265-wesley crusher was trapped in a cave once...but yes my ludicris analogy was an attempt to draw notice to the i thought noble notion that women who aren't in porn don't deserve to be called 'pornstars' and all that is associated with that label.

Re-reading with that clarification it all makes perfect sense ... sort of ;)
