A couple of days ago several news outlets reported that private equity firm Beaufort Capital became a new shareholder of Drakensang and Venetica publisher dtp entertainment AG.
new business posted something which looks like the juicy part of the PR:
Beaufort Capital investiert in dtp entertainment

Good question, although I tend to a "doesn't apply to", since - I think - Radon Labs is already sold.

good news since I believe dtp is also involved in an MMO I'm interested in (I know, MMO, bad word in this site). Otherland Online, based on the Otherland books by Tad Williams (who I understand was involved in the design stages of the project). After some news in 2008 I haven't found any news on it, but I think it's still in (very secret?) development. I wonder if it was canned or not.

I was interested in that game too. Isn't it called Otherland though? http://www.otherland-game.com

Ah, I wondered how long it would be before someone made an MMO based on those books. No idea what that game would be like though, just knew there would be one eventually.

I have to say though, I'm not a big Tad Williams fan. Every book I've read of his has had miserable pacing. Boring prose for the first 90% of the book then everything happens in the last 10% and I usually miss all the details because I'm just hurrying to finish the book to move on to a more enjoyable read.
