Thanks - hadn't heard of Starry Void, and it looks pretty interesting. (Dreadful name though!)
You should have played the prequel. It took place in an abandoned bathroom. It was called Smelly Void...

FALLOUT 4 A Perfectly Balanced Game With No ExploitsMusic has always been an important part of The Legend of Zelda games, not only as an integral part of their gameplay but also as an iconic soundtrack. These tunes launched a six-year worldwide symphonic tour and provided the basis for the musical spinoff game Cadence of Hyrule. Join Zelda Universe for a melodic journey through the franchise that will have you feeling nostalgic one moment and tapping your toes the next.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Update #62 - Alpha Test Stage 2 ReleasedAnyway today we are discovering that Fallout 4 is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits well excluding the melee only challenge and the pipe gun nuke challenge and infinite experience.
Silverfall: Complete Released on GOG - 70% OffThe fall is here and we are ready to start the second phase of the Alpha Test with some awesome additions! We have worked hard to prepare for it and bring even more of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous to you. We are really excited to share more content of our upcoming game and discuss it with our community.
Silverfall, a once glorious city, lies in the fantastical Kingdom of Nelwë, where the forces of Technology and Nature are strongly opposed. Symptoms of this terrible conflict have begun to manifest physically as melded cyberbiologic organics and living steam-driven automatons.
Drag your hero from the pits of this world and craft him into a mighty champion that can oppose the planet-choking Order of Nothingness. Freedom to evolve in either the technological or spiritual paths is in your hands and you must choose your comrades wisely to provide a balance and benefit to your efforts - but be cautious, any bias in your choices will either corrupt or upgrade the growing world around you.
Supergiant Games Hades v1.0 Gameplay ShowcaseThis is a quick peek at the Call of Saregnar demo. This is a story-driven first person perspective RPG, characterized by low-poly 3D graphics and owing a lot of inspiration to a much older era of computer role playing games. It is very much a spiritual successor to the Krondor series of games with some Daggerfall and Might and Magic sprinkled here and there. I feel that I should also mention from the get go that this has been mainly developed by just one person who got some help for the music and sound effects.

Directing The Outer Worlds narrative expansion The Peril on Gorgon - GamasutraPhoenix Point: Year One Edition is the definitive version of the acclaimed strategy game from the creator of X-COM, collecting all previous DLC now available for wishlisting on Steam!
While Obsidian gears up on new games like Grounded and Avowed, it hasn't turned away from last year's standout hit The Outer Worlds. This month saw the release of Peril on Gorgon, a new DLC adventure for the developer's capitalistic dystopian RPG.
To lead up this DLC, Obsidian tapped lead narrative designer Carrie Patel, who took over game directing duties from Leonard Boyarsky and Tim Cain. It's a huge task for any game developer to take the role, since it often involves a move into leadership over departments they weren't previously involved in.

The Viking Leader Customization System - SteamThis week we're posting a recap of the Q&A that happened during PAX Online last week. Saddle up, because there's a LOT of text coming your way.
The Digital Antiquarian Blog - X-Com: UFO DefenseGreetings, heroes! The Viking army is brave and fearless, and their leader always has excellent combat skills. Today, we will tell you more about the Viking leader customization system in the game.
In the early days of game development, there existed little to no separation between the roles of game programmer and game designer. Those stalwart pioneers who programmed the games they themselves designed could be grouped into two broad categories, depending on the side from which they entered the field. There were the technologists, who were fascinated first and foremost with the inner workings of computers, and chose games as the most challenging, creatively satisfying type of software to which they could apply their talents. And then there were those who loved games themselves above all else, and learned to program computers strictly in order to make better, more exciting ones than could be implemented using only paper, cardboard, and the players’ imaginations. Julian Gollop, the mastermind behind the legendary original X-COM, fell most definitely into this latter category. He turned to the computer only when the games he wanted to make left him no other choice.
Geneforge 1 Mutagen September Update - KickstarterThis weekend we launched Path of Exile: Heist! The launch day went quite well with just a few small hotfixes to address minor problems, you can view their patch notes here. Later today, we're planning to deploy a restart patch that includes various other fixes from the weekend. Today's news also outlines a few other details about the weekend and what to expect this week.
Later this week, on September 23 (PDT), we'll be launching Heist on our console platforms. We also hope to formally release our experimental macOS version within the next week as well. Thanks to everyone who has been testing it so far and giving us feedback.
Geneforge 1 - Mutagen work continues. The world is now well over half done, which means it is entirely due for beta testing. Our crew of skilled, awesome, volunteer testers is all set up, and we’re only waiting to resolve some in-house technical difficulties before the game is in their hands. Then they can totally break it.
We’ve played it a lot in-house already, and it is still feeling quite fun. We did have to make a bunch of big balance changes (wizards were as sturdy as armored fighters, everyone was dying too quickly), but that is to be expected in what is basically a new game engine. Now our baby game is ready to go into beta testing to be really torn apart.
Another milestone: We have our first official screenshots! The Steam page and our web pages for Geneforge 1 - Mutagen are being set up, which meant making a trailer and gathering all sorts of marketing materials. This is mostly done, and Geneforge should be announced to the world before our next update.
Scarlet Republics - Gameplay Commentary by Kristian and GustavThree indie developers each working on their own video game set in the World of Darkness universe - Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Vampire: The Masquerade and Wraith: The Oblivion - discuss their unique approaches to bringing the legendary RPG tabletop universe to life.
The biggest question we've received on Scarlet Republics throughout the campaign so far has been: "So, how does it play?" And while we've tried our best to describe that in-depth on the campaign page, we thought we'd give you something greater. For the last week or so, the engine room at the Audacity Interactive HQ has been brimming with energy, with all the cogs and wheels working in unison, to create a small scenario for you. So today we'll treat you to a video playthrough of the (very) pre-alpha game.
We'll take you through one of the early encounters of the game, as the Blackwings have been contracted by Rovale to put down a cityless rebellion. The siblings are leading the charge against a rebel outpost and have marshaled the company to bring their enemies to heel.
Bear in mind that we feature many assets, animations, VFX, and mechanics that are still placeholders, and not as developed as the shiny stuff we showed off in the campaign. Nonetheless, we thought you'd forgive us for that if you got to see the gameplay. So please enjoy.

The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos Review - GamebansheeThe surprising news that Microsoft will acquire Bethesda parent company Zenimax for $7.5 billion raises a whole slew of questions. Will franchises like Doom, Fallout, and Skyrim become Xbox exclusives? What does this mean for upcoming games like Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI? And what does Zenimax even gain from moving under the Microsoft umbrella?
Microsoft and Zenimax executives are saying silent for the most part on what this deal means for Bethesda, but the company's founder Christopher Weaver (who left in 2002) is free to speak on the subject. In 2007, Weaver was Zenimax's largest shareholder with a 33 percent stake in the company. Today, he says he holds "a pittance of the stock." Nevertheless, he remains an interested party, to say the least.
Rumor: Starfield Images May have Leaked - PC GamerIn the end, while the game is definitely playable right now, it really needs at least a few more months in the oven. Then, even though the developers don’t seem to know how to get out of their own way and separate their bad ideas from the good, the combination of those good ideas will surely make The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos worthy of a playthrough or two. Especially if you're someone who enjoys zany humor, challenging tactical combat, or some combination of both.
InXile Working on Two New RPGs - wccftechStarfield is currently Bethesda's priority ahead of The Elder Scrolls 6, but apart from a teaser shown at E3 in 2018 we haven't seen what their sci-fi RPG will actually look like. Now a trio of images have appeared on image-hosting site Imgur, claiming to be leaked from Starfield. One's an in-game shot of an astronaut who appears to be standing on a space station, another shows a close-up of a UI element from the first screenshot, and the third is a spaceship with some scorch marks and wear and tear.
inXile boss Brian Fargo sent out a couple of interesting tweets a few hours ago. Firstly, replying to a fan, he said that inXile Entertainment is working on wonderful new roleplaying games, though he also noted that these titles take a long time to make.
PS. Sorry about the light quality on our side. I tried my best but as this interview was done with 8h in time zone differences, my light was simply not enough. Matt Chat Bob Alberti on Scepter of Goth and GopherGet a taste of Black Legend during the special at Tokyo Game Show 2020.
Grim Dawn Grim Misadventure #173 - Onwards into the ShatteringMMO and internet pioneer Bob Alberti is here to talk about some of the first-ever online games, including Scepter of Goth. Before WOW, before EQ, before UO, before British Legends, there was Scepter of Goth. You don't hear enough about this game and it hasn't gotten the attention it deserves for its historical importance. Bob was also a key figure on the Gopher team, which was a critically important step in the development of the internet and a very interesting story.

You can be certain that they will defend the last vestiges of their home with savage fervor.
Vaporum: Lockdown ReviewsWe're now in the second week of the Heist league and the team is continuing to monitor your feedback and reported issues. In this news post we'd like to give you an update about some recently reported issues and to provide a general indication of what we're working on. Please note that a lot of the plans here are early and may change as they undergo development and internal testing.
Chalgyr’s Game Room - 8.3/10Overall, Vaporum: Lockdown takes an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach. Not much has changed since the original, and it doesn't offer a different experience to Legend of Grimrock beyond a different setting and focusing on one player character instead of a party system. To anyone looking for more in this genre, or maybe looking to scratch a BioShock itch, the game will serve its purpose admirably. But for anyone who wants something new, didn't love those games, or never saw the appeal of grid-based RPGs in the first place, there isn't much that Vaporum: Lockdown has to offer that will change their minds.
Save or Quit - No ScoreWhile it may act as a prequel to the original, Vaporum: Lockdown is an excellent return to the Arx Vaporum tower. Capitalizing on the features of the original while also making some minor adjustments to how you interact with the environment, this was hard to put down as I tried my best to help Ellie on her journey to escape this scientific wonder turned deathtrap
I played the original Vaporum, and found it to be one of the best games of its type. So it was hard to not go into this one with some expectations. Luckily Vaporum: Lockdown more than lives up to those expectations. Combat is fast and fun, although ultimately very similar to the original game, but where Lockdown truly shines is with its puzzles. These has to be some of the most well designed puzzles in any RPG to date, and the balance between action and puzzle solving is really good. It’s only right at the very end of the game that this balance ends up feeling a little bit off, but even then it never ended up feeling tedious.
