Crysis: Soon to be on Steam
September 13th, 2008, 17:02
Indeed. Both Crysis and Crysis: Warhead have become available for pre-order on Steam.
Well, the interesting part is that they are EA games, who has up until now not been represented with any game on Steam. Most EA games are fairly uninteresting though, but there are a few EA games that could be great to see on Steam.
And none the less this is a triumph for Steam as a digital distribution platform. Just like getting BioShock on Steam for pre-order was.
This might not mean that we will see other EA games on Steam though. Crysis is PC only and has not lived up to the sales expected, and this might be the only reason for it becoming available on Steam. The sales for Warhead needs to be boosted.
EDIT: Yes, it seems the deal is more between CryTek and Valve, since CryTek only makes use of EA through it's EA Partners program. Just like Valve also does, which means they have a lot of independence and EA only takes care of a few specific services.

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.
Dallas Cowboys: Can we be done with the offseason? / / Detroit Red Wings: At least we get a new coach

Oh, here has Yangkee730 landed now ?
We banned "him" on "my" forum last week.
If you want to, I can give you a list of bots we already banned, if you have sort of a pro-active ban list for this forum here …
Edit: Sorry, it wasn't Yangkee170 we banned, but instead Yangkee140 …
