Mount & Blade - v.801 Released

As has been the trend so far, Taleworlds has released v.801 of Mount & Blade to tidy up bugs and issues with the recent major 0.800 release. Head to this thread for links and patch notes.

And another trend is visual upgrades. Gameplay wise, this version is not better the older ones.

Mount and Blade has taken a turn for the worst. It's been god knows how many months since the last update (about 6 months I guess) and the end result is that they have released a game which is almost functionally the same (except a whole load of new bugs).
According to their site (right next to where you can choose to buy the game) they say there is supposed to be an update every few weeks…..
There is still no plot, NPC control is still just as cumbersome and there is no endgame, just endless killing of "mobs" as per a MMORPG.

Favourite RPGs of all time: Wizardry 6, Ultima 7/7.2, Fallout2, Planescape Torment, Baldurs Gate 2+TOB, Jagged Alliance 2, Ravenloft: The stone prophet, Gothic 2, Realms of Arkania:Blade of destiny (not the HD version!!) and Secret of the Silver Blades.
