A nice little article all in itself.
But as to the proof that Nintendo has increased the size of the market. Consider the 2 graphs, Nintendo's revenue for this year is equivalent to the entire market share of 2005!


Good Job Nintendo, now if only people move on to the pc adn then pc rpgs from there. But who is actually going to do it?

99% of market growth came from Nintendo.
That is just amazing.
I also find it amazing that Sony sold as many PSP's as they did with such an atrocious 2008 line-up of games.

I saw a list of 2009 games for PSP and it looked good.
I'm working on a '2008 handheld games in review' article to go up after my latest quarterly full review, and in general there were only ~3 PSP games that qualify as 'good' or better. And thus far '09 doesn't seem likely to produce better. Resistance: Retribution is pretty decent based on the demo, though.
