The Witcher
Drakensang
Neverwinter Nights 2 Mask of the Betrayer (This one does NOT even figure in my all time best list, unlike the other two, but we continue to have very few CRPGs released.)

(in that order)

Other mentions: (I think that these fall in the 3y period or close enough)
Gothic III
Two Worlds

The Witcher
Eschalon
And because I haven't played Drakensang, or MoTB
King's Bounty
(It's as least as much of an rpg as Dungeon Seige 2 )

Eschalon and Gothic III (in terms of personal enjoyment). I'm afraid I'd be hard pressed to pick number three… Probably The Witcher. Haven't played Drakensang yet.

Not in the last 5 years, so perhaps you should choose Dungeon Lords instead …

1. Mysteries of Westgate
2. Mask of the Betrayer
3. Drakensang

That was tough. because the rpgs these dont excel at everything, it makes it difficult to rank. I rank MoW as the best because it completely sucks you in, very hard to put down till you finish it.

Unless you guys are categorizing KB:TL as something other than an RPG, or haven't played it yet, I cannot see why every single post in this thread does not contain the words "King's Bounty : The Legend (2008)"

I don't consider KB being an RPG but even if I did I don't think it would be in my top 3.
While it was an awesome game it didn't move me as much as Witcher,Gothic and MotB

It's a strategy game, that's why. Yes it has RPG elements, but what doesn't nowadays?

Right. If we call games like King's Bounty RPGs then what won't be RPG?
