It's a shame that the idea of connecting PC to TV haven't received as much attention. My PC is placed 1m from the TV, so to me it's natural. There are a couple of games I played this way, unfortunate most PC games doesn't work well with gamepads. I have a bluetooth keyboard with built in mice and a couple of wireless controllers. As long as games are capable of widescreen resolution, they feel like playing on a traditional console, but with full 1080p resolution with all gee-whizz stuff like AA and QA.

For me it is a matter that I use laptops and have all of my computer / music / gaming stuff in a room in the basement, so it is work to bring it to the big TV. But we've done it more and more with Netflix, so it will be no biggie to do it with my bluetooth mouse & keyboard for some gaming.
