I was hoping for this! Yay! Even if it's not as complex a creation process as for an NWN game, I expect this will still provide hours of fun and drooling

This is going to eat up a lot of my time…

A very cool idea, I wish more developers did this.
Of course it requires diverse character classes and character generation. Wouldn't work too well with games like Risen, I imagine.

Wouldn't work at all with Risen, as there is no character creation before the game starts!
Yeah, I have wished for something like this before. It seems like a great way to tease us RPG fans, and it should mean they can make it a very small download, and they aren't giving away too much. I think Spore did something a bit like this and it worked very well for them.
The only thing is, I'd have liked even just 5 minutes of gameplay to see how well it runs on my system. But then they'd have to include a bunch of textures and whole load of other stuff and make the download far far bigger.

A Character Creator? Huh… well I guess I'll play with it a bit before the game is released. Not a bad idea. In fact, I hated this about Mass Effect (and Oblivion) that I had to waste time on trying to create a face that didn't look silly, when I just wanted to start the game already.

Demo would be much better than just character creator. I don't see any use for it.

Think it's a cool idea for those of us who might end up spending an hour creating our toons, to get something we have in mind.
To the reference to Risen/PB, I agree as much as I think PB are great developers not making their game either gender neutral or choice of gender is their biggest weakness. I browsed in the WoR forums and was shocked to see a rather large thread talking about this very subject, pretty cool.
It's not like PB Gothic series or Risen afaik, really required you be a guy, that's been proven time and time again. Hopefully PB will come to their senses.

Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language…they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.
