you can disable the autosave in the

\Risen\data\ini\ConfigDefault.xml

or in the ConfigUser.xml
XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\ApplicationData\Risen

Vista:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Risen

Set

autoSave="false"

under <game

I find a complete opposite to be true. Very few animals dodge your attacks effectively. And even if they do, they do it in very predictable manner. Humans on the other hand can be very unpredictable in their movements and will use all types of avoidance. Naturally, this can be negated if you corner them, but that's besides the point.

Thanks HX, I disabled the autosave, and also changed the quick save/load keys.
