Getting new skills

Are adventure points the same as leveling points?

I have about 500 AP and I cannot get a new Knockdown skill for my level 2 Dwarf Warrior.

Says it needs 100 leveling points - where are they shown? Also says I need AV8, SA Mighty Blow, SA Offensive Combat 1 - don't see these listed either.

I'm not quite sure how the terminology is in the English version.

In Drakensang you can spend your XP directly on learning, without waiting for the next level. Adventure points are the XP you haven't spent yet.

You have to find teachers, and if you hover the mouse over an option you'll see the requirements.
