Stuck on Eldric

So I freed Eldric after killing the Priest, but when the conversation ends and he says to follow him, he just stays in the cell. I walked out to his hut even though he wasn't following me, but he isn't there. What do I do?

I also had this problem, I think he was being blocked by Cydric. I solved it by attacking Eldric, and kiting him back to his hut, then letting him knock me out. Don't let him fireball you though, as that will just kill you.
