The Witcher - Must Have Mods
June 30th, 2010, 15:02
Witcher2Game.com sent in their article about Must Have Mods for the first game. Unfortunately, it's a very short list with only the Full Combat Rebalance we've covered before, Flash's Scabbard Mod and a Texture Mod - no story/quest mods.
More information.

This should be pinned, all look excellent and I'll definitely use them in my replays.

I'd just like to interject here and point out that I'm not going to say anything to spoil the mood, Chief. I'll just float here and watch. Don't mind me, just sitting here, floating and watching, that's me.

"Flash Mod significantly increaces the difficulty, but leaves the original game mechanics, whereas FCR is an overhaul of the talent and fighting system, which, apart from increasing the difficulty, also maximises the realism"
From Q/A on moddb
I am getting sick of all mods for all games increasing the difficulty , looks like the requirement for becoming a moder is a significant dose of masochism .

Yeah, well, none of these is a must have imo.
Rebalance mod is indeed for masochists, scabbard mod has substantial clipping issues and, IIRC correctly, textures in Texture Mod are just default ones run through sharpen filter etc which makes them less natural, at least I donīt like the resulting effect and thereīs certainly no gain on artistic side of things.
But obviously preferences vary, only must have mods for me personally are First Person View Enabled and Well Stacked Mod (increases stacking of items in inventory).
