Bit of a necro for those of you that aren't on Popcap's mailing list. They've added some PvZ-related Halloween treats to their site.

I've been moved to do another necro on this thread after spending a couple hours playing last night while the hockey game was on.
How in the @%^%@ is there no expansion to this game? We get crappy expansions to crappy games all the time, but somehow this gem, which apparently has sold quite well, gets nothing. Iz a crime, I tell ya.

I'm limited to internet radio except for the games NBC carries. I play games like PvZ while listening to WXYT.

Makes no sense.

I started a new game of PvZ the other day; I have my gold trophy but something weird has happened this time. All of a sudden, I'm getting absolutely no zen garden plant drops. I've probably gone about 4 or 5 hours of playtime with no drops. I'm getting blue gems and more chocolate than I know what to do with, but the zen garden drops just wont happen. I've never had this happen before, so it's kind of weird.
I'm also left a little baffled by the lack of a sequel/expansion pack. Someone in this thread brought up the lack of merchandise (t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc.) that would probably be extremely popular given the success of the game.

Stupid question, but, your garden isn't full, is it? Strange that you're getting so much chocolate, since that stops dropping once you get to 10 ("full" inventory).
Actually, they did have merchandise. I remember some cool T-shirts that I almost bought. I don't see them on the site now, though. I'll have to check the older PvZ posts and see if a page got put up.

No, none of my gardens are full. The last zen garden drop I got was a Hypno-shroom. As soon as a I bought my night garden and water garden (and moved Hypno-shroom and a Doom-shroom over) that's when I stopped getting zen plants. I use a lot of chocolate; I wake up Stinky several times a day for the heck of it. But as soon as I use chocolate, I get it right back. I think something got 'tweaked' in my game somehow, so I guess I'm just going to have to re-install and start over, which isn't any big deal. It's just kind of strange that I've never had this happen before given the sheer number of hours I've put into this game

Strange with the plant drops. I've gone thru 3 hard survivals in row (with my "uber" profile, my current profile just picked up the gold trophy and doesn't have a water garden or tree yet) without getting anything, but I think that's the worst it's ever been for me.

I've had that happen also—and then when a plant did drop, itwas almost always a duplicate. I once had about twenty pumpkin shells and not one shroom.
Read an interesting little article the other day about how they came up with the game. It started out as a sequel to Insaniquarium—which is like a Zen garden for fishes occassionally invaded by aliens—anyway, the concept art of the aliens evolving into plants and zombies was pretty cool.

Found this : http://www.pcgames.de/Plants-vs-Zomb…lassen-767051/
The article says that the game once contained a Zombie that looked like Mr. Jackson, but that this Zombie has bween removed.
Never heard of that.
