DarkSpore - Combat Trailer
September 30th, 2010, 13:14
Rock, Paper, Shotgun has a combat trailer for Darkspore, promoting the 4-player co-op and 'unparalleled customisation". It looks pretty frantic hacky-slashy, but more interesting than the teaser trailer suggested to me.
More information.

So, is this a Diablo clone (do we call them Torchlight clone now?) or an Alien Swarm clone with RPG elements?
I'm discarding everything that is flashed as text, of course, knowing EA half of that stuff is only used to look Epic(tm)…

At the Games Com, it played rather like an Blizzard-aRPG-clone.
I don't know about "Alien Swarm", have never played or seen it.

Thanks for the info. And no, it doesn't look too much like Darkspore. I perceived Darkspore really rather as a sort of action-RPG, totally hack & slaysh, so to say.
Sometimes, the enemies were just siting there, and became ggrsssive only when I approached them. And of up to 4 critters I could only play 1 at the same time. Single-player, of course, I don't know nothing about the multiplayer part.
However, multiplayer could be a bit more like this "alien swarm" game, I guess.

I guess it's really a Diablo clone then.

Replace "than" with "then", and you're probably right (from my perspective).

I usually mix them up the other way around: using then when than should be used.
