I might just need a new MoBo

Edit: Turns out that all it was was an unplugged cord.
Edit 2: Edit 1 was just wishful thinking. It is the screen, but it's more than merely an unplugged cord. You see, I put the computer in save mode, and when I tried to start it up again my screen didn't manage to find the picture again. So it's either the cords that's dodgy, or it's some kind of hardware issue where the screen won't find the image if it's been on for too long (which is a bit of a problem since I can't turn it off without unplugging the cord).
So, what I do know is this: this morning my computer couldn't find the screen. Unplugging the cords from the screen and starting the computer with my mother's screen (old cords) worked.
When I then hooked in my old screen everything worked fine - until I put the screen in save mode. When I tried to restart it it stopped working (turning the computer off manually and restarting the screen (by cutting the power…) didn't help). I then unplugged all the cords, went downstairs and got my mother's cord (the one between the computer and the screen - the other cords are the same old cords), which took about two-three minutes (it's possible that the screen needs to be turned off for a short while before it's able to find the computer again). With the new cord it's once again working. I haven't tried putting it in save mode yet, but I will do so after this: assume it won't start again.
Old post (not worth reading, just keeping it here in case someone wonders about it):

Bumping due to all the new facts that's come in, since edits don't show as new (I assume).

Well, it turns out it was just the cord between the screen and the rest of the computer that wasn't properly plugged in. It appears to work now (and if it stops I'll know where to look).
Thanks for the help, all*!
*Here's your chance to finally get some credit! Take it!

I'd just like to interject here and point out that I'm not going to say anything to spoil the mood, Chief. I'll just float here and watch. Don't mind me, just sitting here, floating and watching, that's me.

I think the cord was a bit old. It's one of them cords you screw in to ensure they'll stay connected, and the screw mechanisms isn't what they were. Or something. Last time I made sure they were screwed until I couldn't screw them any more.
(All this talk of screwing cords makes me uneasy, since I'm not sure it's the proper term.)
