I'm tempted to buy. The guys are releasing a patch every day, it seems that they are committed to iron the game.

I'm surprised everybody find the controls fine, it's an action game, the action is far to be slow and you have to make multiples selections among 10 choices before to cast a spell. I'm very surprised people are happy with that.

They're hardly intuitive, but after a while I got used to them. A large part of the fun for me was getting the spells mixed up and casting an unintended spell, accidentally butchering my friend, and then proceeding to steal his staff.

it has a strange, yet comfortable interface. Since the dawn of gaming, I've always had 123456 along the top in command of my variety of spells, troops, weapons, etc. Having the dual rows of QWER/ASDF as the selector is totally different and at first not entirely welcome. My left hand is confused, evryone knows that those are movement keys. - then a couple hours later, it just starts working out really well.
It's a fun game, and the first one that I can say the interface itself is fun and a refreshing change to play with. Bugwise, I'm still not having problems, then again I'm not the one playing multiplayer at this point..

Mmm I removed it a bit fast after one more little try and slightly irritated with the controls. I think I could succeed learn the 10 shortcuts because movements are with the mouse, but I suspect i'll never been able to learn the sequences, but I'm highly hesitant, since Torchlight I'm a fan of such games and its price isn't high. I think I'll try install again the demo… or I'll dive in FNV instead!
The point is also the demo seems not store shortcuts change and that's rather tedious to have set them up again each time, i will never learn them with such behaviors. I wonder if this is fixed in the full game.

It's just not an RPG, or even an action/RPG, or even a loot hack'n'slasher. It's Gauntlet with an innovative spell system. Lots of fun but I doubt I will be able to keep up with the key combinations in later parts of the game…though it's still probably worth $10 for doing something cool.
