The Walking Dead - the game.

Apparently a game based on 'The Walking Dead' is in development. It's going to be based on the comic book, not the television series.

There's not many details at this point, although it's being said that it will be episodic and cross platform. Telltale Games is the developer.

Telltale Games is really going apeshit… five properties at once being developed and that's not even counting their smaller games or what we don't know about.

I'm a big classic point and click fan but honestly most of Telltale's stuff has been pretty bland. I keep buying it out of some weird loyalty to the genre but most of it sits on my shelf (or HDD) and collects dust. I did like Tales of Monkey Island though, they somehow did an amazing job with that one.

Nothing against Telltale, but there is already a game being developed that has everything I could ever want from a Walking Dead game. It's called Dead State. I'd much rather play a true RPG like DS than an adventure game based upon the comic.

With that said there is nothing stopping me from buying both because I enjoy playing an adventure game from time to time.
