Up & Running with no problems (BeamDog ver) but…

I'm not normally a FPS player. That said, I thought the description of the game and the RPG elements sounded like a lot of fun.

But I just keep getting killed right at the beginning after the crash.

I make it to the acid lake area, but I'm so weakened by critter attacks that the enemy soldiers make quick work of me.

I'm playing on "Normal" btw

Been following the map loc guide and it seems to lead me right to the guards, so I'm assuming that I need to take them out.

If I change the game to "Easy" can I change it later to "Normal" ?

Anyway…

Was impressed with the vibrant graphics and action, will be fun I think IF I can just quit dying so soon and often lol

Any suggestions?

(just found a beginners guide and plan to read that right now)

What I always do there is use the rocket launcher to kill the soldiers and then just run past the combat robot mech to the cave. It will be too slow to follow you…

Also read that there's a bridge that crosses the lake where you can fire down on the troops as well.

Hopefully one way or the other will help me survive a bit longer and get patched up and stronger

I had a hard time with that part in the beginning but then figured out a tactic. I used the environment to block their attacks and took them out one at a time.
