Top 3 awaited games (SP)
April 27th, 2011, 15:12
1. The Witcher 2
2. Risen 2
3. Mass Effect 3
DE:HR and Skyrim were also considered for the third spot, but:
a) Iīm still not quite convinced DE:HR wonīt end up being more-or-less Alpha Protocol 2, but with less intriguing narrative structure and interplay between game systems
b) given the previous TES game, I definitely need more info on Skyrim, especially in regards to its perk system (which I think may make or break the game)
On the other hand, I await ME3 kinda by default - I really enjoyed Shepardīs antics in ME1+ME2 (myriad of shortcomings aside), being able to play through three games with one character is plain cool, plus the third part has huge potential to affect series as a whole (both in negative and positive ways) thus I canīt help not being intrigued despite my numerous doubts.

Alrik, hasn't this been released? Or are you waiting for the PC version?
Focus Interactive lists a PC version, and since they don't do digital downloads directly, I do hope that there'll be a boxed version of it someday …

1) Deus EX (hoping better then DX2)
2) LA Noire (hoping as good as Heavy Rain)
3) Witcher 2 (hoping as good as 1)
for Skyrim & Risen I am awaiting good word of mouth (Skyrim because Oblivion disappointed greatly and Risen had such a horrible end boss I will not invest any time if they do the same in 2). Dead State SHOULD be in the top 3 but there's something about the game development that is holding me at bay.

Alice sequel
Diablo3
Skyrim
Warhammer dark millenium tho MP i cant let go unmentioned.
Strangely not really excited about witcher2, (the whole no-jump thing)
Maybe once JDR is going nuts over the game i'll have to run out and get it cuz all the cool kids are playing it

The witcher 2-- I admit i'm drinking the kool aid.
skyrim-- I've come so cl;ose to really liking the other ES games maybe this will finally be the one.
Madden 2012-- I buy it every year as a huge nfl and lions fan. The silver rush is back suh, fairley, avril and vanden bosch. Can't wait to rack up the sacks. (i know it's not an rpg.)

I also strongly doubt there's any jump in Alice.

To take the opposite direction of the thread, so sort of linked as the negative picture, the top three games that I didn't expect at all and got me by surprise those last month:
- Avadon
- Mass Effect 2
- Anomaly: Warzone Earth

1) Deus EX 3
2) Skyrim
3) The Witcher
And of course the long awaited Duke Nukem Forever, unless it sucks.

you truly are such a pain in the ass sometimes.
Here's gameplay footage from the upcoming Alice game.
Got any more wise assumptions for me regarding a game you obviously know next to nothing about?
