UK deus ex arealocked to…UK

Just so you know the pc version of UK deus ex is region locked to UK! Isnt this against the EU law or somthing? Free trade of goods and sofort??

This also troubles any customers hoping to import the UK Augmented edition, which (I believe) is the only version that includes all the game content (with other regions splitting up the “bonus content” for various retailer exclusive promotions). Sorry, if you don’t live in the UK you can’t get the “best” version of the game.

Quite what the motivation for this isn’t clear, but it’s evidently wrapped up with both serving distributors and the decision to use Valve’s Steamworks to control region activation. We’ve contacted SE asking for a comment on why they’ve decided to add these limitations to the retail version of the game.

UK is in the EU. What you propably tried to mean was that UK is not in the EMU but thats a different thing.

Yeah, we're not in the money, but we are in the EU for all other purposes.

As I understand it, they would have been perfectly legal if it was an EU lock, a US lock and so on - the problem is that they've split the EU into three zones (and lumped the eastern European countries in with Russia), which isn't legal. If you live in France or Germany or Poland, you've got every right to order goods from the UK or Italy or whereever as you do from your own country.

The regionlocking has been revoked, in the meanwhile.
