Default LotR movies - The worst/best scene and the worst/best character

November 5th, 2011, 13:32
I thought Eowyn was done pretty well, as she's one of the few strong female characters in the book (in contrast I wasn't keen on all the extra Arwen related stuff which felt artificial).

What were all those elves doing at Helm's Deep- how the hell did they get there so fast?

The Army of the Dead was complete shit. They just killed everything in their path. Of course Aragorn would have kept them for the battle at the Black Gate, he would have been able to stroll into Mordor with his ridiculous green glowing army which kills everything.

Most of my favourite scenes were with Gandalf as Ian McKellen rocks

Ent discussions with Treebeard went on far too long in the film.

Didn't like Sauron as a literal "flaming eye". He wasn't a bloody eye. What sort of rubbish Dark Lord would manifest himself as an eye with no arms or legs.

Favourite scene of all - the boats passing through the Argonath. They looked so real and majestic, I wanted to visit them
