Bethesda are probably sloppy on purpose to make their games passable on consoles, but knowing full well the modding community will make the PC version worlds better for free!

Probably.. it still looks great though. The aurora is especially nice, i captured it on a youtube video. And here's a timelapse video. Maxed out settings, 1920x1080 (watch in HD for "full effect"

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that doesn't think those screenshots are anything special. It looks like there's higher resolution textures being used, but nothing stands out.
I guess we'll have to contend with the good gameplay mods.

Found this on Kotaku just moments ago. PC comparison shots of the 4 basic settings:
Low ~ Medium ~ High ~ Ultra
Its not said if all the extra bells and whistles are turned on, but it still looks rather impressive. I'll still be eagerly awaiting the higher rez texture & shader packs from the modding community. And if this turns out as good as Morrowind & Oblivion, I'll eventually end up adding a good 18-20gb+ additional mods!
