That's a Scandinavian for you - equating Christianity with the US.
Unless I missed something, Risk hasn't done anything to even indicate he's Christian, unless asking God for help during a zombie apocalypse automatically makes you a Christian.
Maybe he's not strictly a Christian, but he's all about those values. It's a bit much for me, but only because of the cliché involved. I admire most Christian values, actually.

If entertainment= television, then yeah maybe. I wouldn't know because I rarely watch it.
Personally, I find many Christians quite annoying and hypocritical.

Ugh, I started watching Falling Skies and this Christianity thing gets pushed down your throat very quickly with one of the characters talking about it all the time and people participating in group prayers, etc. Dumped that series very quickly after that. It wasn't very interesting in the first place and didn't make a lot of sense.
But enough of that, this is The Walking Dead.
Unfortunately, I agree with all the silly drama stuff. Rick's wife (Lori?) gets so annoying, I hope they kill her off soon (fat chance).

I watch this as it has zombies in it, other than that it is a pretty lame excuse for a show.
- poorly written characters
- horribly annoying woman from Prison Break (which was also pretty lame after season 1, but wifey wanted to watch it. Only reedeming character from that was T-Bag). Seriously, that disbelieving / disaproving stare is her primary functioning mode whch has not changed since PB - she needs a slap in the mush. And eat something for goodness sake.
- plot feels like waiting in line for your lunch (something tasty coming up …. going slow … sloooowwwer)
- no sense of atmosphere or threat most of the time (see decent zombie movies for proper sense of dread). most of the actors seem really chilled out and preened most of the time / they don't fit into the "world" created ….. they should be dirty and scruffy and feral.
- decent english actor from pilot never seen again
- 2 dimensional bad guy with 1 hand not seen again
- someone said rick is more like a mix of himself and shane in comics. ie. ruthless when needed but just. Do they have the balls to make an AMBIGUOUS leader? nope. Just "Egg" from "This Life" looking tired.
- why should we care about welfare of girl - they have not written it well enough that we give 2 jots.
- group splits up end of S1 starts of S2, never hear from others again (writers - lets cut these characters - GONE)
- going on and on about guns / who has them / who cannot have them. WTF? great writing guys
good points
- the "well zombie" looked cuddly! awwww! cute
- horse / tank scenes from s1
- hospital from s1 looked like hospital level in Left4Dead. Bonus.
- the black british actor with son and sniper rifle / zombo wife
- farmers daughter is pretty hot
- deer scene was ok
Strange as AMC did Breaking Bad which does not really pull punches and is light years ahead in terms of suspense, writing and pretty much everything compared to this. Why wuss out on this? make it dark and uncomfortable.
Well the lead creator / writer guy got booted halfway through this season and the SFX guy took over. LOL. No suprise there.
The writers need to grow some balls.

Just finished watching Episode 7. I missed it on Sunday, so I watched it at the link Sammy posted earlier in this thread.
Definitely the best episode so far this season, and the ending was fantastic.

I hope when it comes back in Feb we see the Walking Dead ( from the comics) and not the Whining Dead (tv version). Honestly, I'm ready to cheer for the zombies soon!

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.
Dallas Cowboys: Can we be done with the offseason? / / Detroit Red Wings: At least we get a new coach

strong ending to a very weak half season. I'm REALLY hoping that they were just saving budget money for the second half of the season.
Spoiler

I didn't see it coming. I should have, but didn't. Awesome ending.
Can't wait for the next episode. I hope to god this is the time they leave. It's time to get the hell out of Dodge. Seriously, that farm is not that safe. Even if I didn't know approximately what was happening next I still would come to that conclusion. You get a good mob of walkers coming in and that's it. They're zombie chow. You need walls, lots and lots of walls. Better yet bullets, lots and lots of bullets. They must have never read World War Z. Everyone should own a copy just in case
Oh and the wife still is annoying the hell out of me. Please somebody make her zombie chow. It would be a great twist and maybe win back their male viewers
Keep farmgirl. She annoyed me a little with that speech, but now the writers aren't making her out to be that dumb.

I'll be very surprised if the next episode doesn't start with them leaving the farm for good.

Just watched from 35:00 on, with a rock hard zombi-rection. It was poetry, sheer post-zombie apocalype poetry.
"Thats enough, shane!"
"yer right, that is enough" BLAMM!
I laughed. I cried. I cheered. I threw up a little in the back of my throat. Totally awesome…

Must admit that was a pretty good ending
I didn't see it coming until the camera focused on the barn door for no reason

I did not see that coming!
Neat.
Someone has some explaining to do though. (Lots of wasted resources…)
Okay the last 3 episodes gradually improved to a solid finale. Hopefully its a good sign.
As much as Shane is a scumbag they would be stuffed without him.
Pleased all the Desperate Housewife "secrets" are revealed so they can move the plot on finally. Glad I watched to the end, almost gave up …. a good catch but a waste of 4 -5 episodes. If they keep things interesting like this it will be far better show.

Oh, and I guess you'd burn through fuel pretty fast. Nonetheless, a chopper seems like a smart thing to have. Maybe make it land on the ship, or something. Easy to get around and refuel/restock and stuff.

And why did they HAVE to put in a pregnancy? Unless they're gonna go and do the zombie baby thing. That would be awesome!![]()

Anyway, loved the ending of episode 7, etc.

While watching Stephen King's The Mist last night, I recognized no less than three cast members from the The Walking Dead. Laurie Holden (Andrea), Jeffrey DeMunn (Dale), and Melissa McBride (Carol) were all in that movie together.
Of course it makes sense when you realize that The Mist was directed by Frank Darabont, one of the creators of The Walking Dead.
Almost didn't recognize Dale without the beard, but Carol is still sporting the same short hair, just without the grey, and Andrea looks exactly the same.
You can see all three of them in this scene. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5G5Q0…eature=related
Oh, and if you've never seen The Mist (Trailer), you really need to.
