I Just Realized Something *heavy spoilers*

All the faction questlines in Skyrim have the same parts.

Not necessarily in this order but, Join, do some menial things, a set back happens, you get betrayed by Mercer in the thieves guild, Skjorn gets killed in the companions, then Kodlak gets killed, The Eye of Magnus gets taken by whatshisface the dark elf in the school, you get initiated into an ancient conspiracy. You become a nightinggale in the thieves guild, you get contacted by the psijics in the school, you become a circle member and find out that lycanthropy is mandatory. You track down the cause of the setback, mercer and the skeleton key, the silver hand and the hag ravens, whatshisface and the eye of magnus, and then you use a clever mcguffin to kill it, staff of magnus, being a nightingale, Glenmoril hagraven heads then you wrap things up with a small dungeon crawl to make things right, giving the skeleton key to Nocturnal via the pilgrims path, the tomb of ysgramor and slaying Kodlaks wolf spirit, finding the rupture and sealing it, note this comes after the next step in the case of the Mages guild, saving the day forever, and then because you solved one singular issue, u es teh ledder.
