I really like the plotline of dealing with other survivors as it adds greater suspense. It's scarier than the zombies due to the unpredictability. That is, with the zombies you always know their intentions (eat brains) while the survivors that will come along it is not as clear if they are friend or foe.

Most zombie films had conflict with other survivors - kind of needed to add tension. Conflict within the group comes across as soapy, because they aren't yet killing each other, just bitching.

Liked it, lots of good action for once. Same woman sniveling again - no I'm mistaken, darrel wasn't in this one
Seriously tho, what is his fucking trip in his last few appearances. Ok, you want to pull away from the group as a whole because you're a loner, a rebel etc. But why be a total fucking prick to Carol, of all people after all theyve been thru, going so far as to rub salt in her wound of sophies death? He's gone from one of the coolest and badass characters to more of a bitch than lorrie. I cringe when he opens his mouth
But yeah, back to the stuff that matters, loved that one zombie Multi- kill when the zombies are dogpiling rick and he feeds a zombie the barrel of his gun, blasting like 3 of them thru the back of its head!

And about the guards:

IMO the best zombie kill was when the kid was driving the van. Reminds me of a similar killing in the last season of the Sopranos.

So I'm wondering if that means some people don't actually have to die (or be bitten) to become walkers, or if it just means that even a simple scratch is enough to get the infection. If that's the case then certain individuals must have a level of resistance.

Caught the episode. Definitely one of the better ones. I was actually expecting Rick to use the "outsider" to copy Shane's previous "perilous exit strategy", particularly since he was trying so hard to show Shane he was a certified badass now.
I didn't like Andrea earlier, but she's coming around well, isn't she.
Did you notice that 4 major characters (Daryl, Sophie's mom, Glen, and Herschel) didn't even make a cameo in the episode? I wonder if that's a cost saving gambit, a flu bug hitting the cast, or just nuttin.

Pretty decent episode overall, though it's starting to feel like they're running a bit dry.

I never watch the "previews" of the coming episode, theyre so spoiler-laden..
I'm reading the graphic novel right now. Wow, the series is almost nothing like it!

I'm not sure how many of you read the comic, but I think that both of them use similar "universe rules" and as such about the virus in comics:

Worst, most cringe inducing episode yet. Back and forth, back and forth, lets draw the randall dilemma out out a few more episodes. At least they got rid of that one annoying bastard, only redeeming aspect.

This was awful.
I was hoping that the boy would kill the prisoner, something that would make it stand out a bit and at least be a bit shocking.

Not sure what all the bitching is about… I thought it was a decent episode. I do agree that they've dragged out the Randall situation too long, but that's coming to an end next week.
March 5th, 2012, 18:05
It was far from decent, the whole episode was one argument repeated about 2000 times. It's like being treated as a retard watching this show, you could easily tell they just couldnt come up with anything so they just dragged it out for a whole ep, and that's pretty crappy TV.

the whole randall situation has been retarded from the first time they set eyes on him. I thought w/ the sophia bullet, Rick had been changed and was now accepting of the hard realities of the changed world. Not
Instead, he's the same old Rick pussy he's always been. Insist on saving someone who's trying to shoot him, even Hershell was ready to put the enemy down when he was stuck on that fence. Saved him again after he took him "18 miles out". Spare him once again when he's too much of a pussy to put on the black hood and do what has to be done. Drags the show down w/ the back and forth over the same question over and over, beating it to death.
The carl/zombie scene was cool and quite tense, but that was the only redeeming quality in the episode. Well that and seeing Dale ( who I used to like as a character) finally take a much deserved exit stage left

You're entitled to your opinion, but I wonder why you continue to watch the show since all it seems to do is piss you off.

it's like Monty Python movies where they take one un-funny gag and beat it to to death until I get a migraine. I know i'm going to stir up a nerd-storm w/ that one ='.'=
