I followed that from the first article. Its a hilarious read and points out a lot of skyrims flaws from a what if I really lived in skyrim perspective. Highly recommend reading them all.

Yes, playing dead is dead will set you up for sadness if you really like and are committed to your player character. Which is why I don't play that way.

There's a nordick mod now. Adds 2 headstone by the tower where he died. Not sure why it wasn't 3 headstones.
