Gamer's Gate just opened their "free games" service, to people in the US, Canada & Scandinavia.

This is an add supported service, that shows one or two adds before you start the game (but none during the actual gameplay). It has none of the "latest & the greatest", most games on there are a few years old, but the selection is still pretty nice, with games such as Majesty, King's bounty: The Legend, Fantasy Wars, Risen, Secret Files: Tunguska, Hearts of Iron 2, Europa Universalis 2, Jagged Alliance 2 and a few others being offered for free. There are a lot of Paradox & 1C games in there right now, though hopefully they will be able to get a few other publishers to join them.
